New Orleans, LA – During a press conference on Tuesday, November 19th for an unrelated child rape case, DA Williams addressed this weekend’s second-line mass shooting, issuing a stern warning to anyone found aiding or abetting the perpetrators.
“The persons that committed these crimes are beyond talking to, but these individuals may have parents, uncles, aunts, siblings, cousins, friends, and associates. I have a message for them. If you are found to have aided or abetted these perpetrators in any way, you will be prosecuted. To be clear, if you give them a ride, a place to stay, or a piece of bread while they are on the run, you are on the wrong side of the law and will be held accountable.
This is a call to action, not for thoughts and prayers, but for tangible leads that can help solve this case. It’s time to do the right thing. It’s time to tell what you know. It’s time to step up for your community and not enable lawlessness”.
