The District Attorney’s Office is committed to serving the community and engaging with neighborhoods across New Orleans to ensure that the people of this city are an active part of the priorities and direction of their prosecutor’s office. We understand the role and impact of the community in increasing safety in our city.
Within just the first 200 days, we hosted the DA’s Youth Violence Prevention & Accountability Summit to bring together youth, educators, advocates, criminal legal system stakeholders, and parents for a solutions-focused summit to stem youth violence and increase opportunities in New Orleans. Whether it’s participating in the Jamere Alfred Let Me Live Rally Against Gun Violence or partnering with the City of New Orleans and New Orleans Public Library System to bring new DA Satellite Offices to various neighborhoods, DA Williams is delivering on his commitment to stay community-centered and engaged as the architect of the criminal legal system in New Orleans. To that end, the District Attorney has created a Partnerships and Development Department to help support these efforts.
