NEW ORLEANS – Today, the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office (OPDA) announced 279 additional guilty pleas secured in March 2022. The guilty pleas were secured for a number of violent offenses including theft, illegal possession of weapons, armed robbery, sexual assault and domestic abuse.
During the first three months of 2022, the office has secured a total of 573 guilty pleas for offenses. Last year, despite court closures, OPDA secured over 3500 guilty pleas in over 1700 cases. Our office is laser-focused on prosecuting violent crimes committed in our neighborhoods.
