Investigations

The Investigations Division of the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office is responsible for providing investigative support for trial prosecutors before and during trials, including locating and securing witnesses, police reports, and evidence.

OPDA investigators also assist the public with economic crimes such as instances of contractor fraud. Additionally, the division handles applications for the expungement of certain criminal convictions for qualifying defendants.
